Help! Something is wrong with my Wii!

I just went to do some Wii voting, and my Wii wont turn on.

I went through all the usual checking of cables, and connections, and it's simply not getting any power. The red light that lets you know it's turned off doesn't even come on.

I don't even know where to start trying to resolve this issue...



Edit: Nevermind... After I posted, I found a place that tells you how to reset the power block when this happens, and it worked, My Wii seems to be fine now...

In case anyone else has this problem, all you need to do is leave the block unplugged from the wall and the Wii for several minutes. No sure how that works, but it seems to...

    Just out of curiosity, is your Wii connected to the internet? You mentioned the red light, instead of it being amber.

    I need to stop being so lazy with the friend codes. :range:

    Yes, usually the light is amber, but sometimes when I come around to turn it on it is red. I don't know why it goes into that mode sometimes, but it doesn't seem to effect functionality.

    Mine would turn red when it overheated. The overheating was caused by the XBox 360 being in the same cabinet, but the Wii would shut itself off to prevent damage. When it came back, it was no longer in standby mode for the WiiConnect24 stuff.

    Man, I can't wait to get back to Cincinnati this weekend to play with CB's newly repaired Wii... Will it be ready by then, CB?

    This thread makes me a little nauseated.

    I've seen CB's Wii... it's tiny... maybe that's why everyone wants to play with it?

    At least I've actually used mine! Yours still hasn't ever been turned on!

    That last one there is the only Wii joke I've ever laughed at. One of my coworkers said it last year and I treated him to lunch for it.
