Send Sledge to IC LAN 2007!!! 8800GTS Raffle

As some of you know last year I raffled of a NVIDIA 7800GT to raise funds to get me to SM LAN 2006, the fund raiser was a success and one lucky winner got the card and I was able to make it to SM LAN 2006. This year I have ran into a few snags again regarding extra cash for a flight to SM LAN 2007, and in that I have acquired a new item to raffle off to be able to make it to Michigan.
So starting today I am offering 75 tickets at $10 each for a chance to score a new 8800GTS 320MB PCI Express graphics card. Now I bet your asking why the heck is Sledge trying to make $750.00 for a plane ticket that costs only $550 give or take...?
The answer is simple, last year at the last minute we had tons of members who wanted in on this raffle but it was already closed, so this time around I am allowing more tickets for the raffle and the extra cash I don’t use in purchasing a plane ticket will go directly to the SMx fund for our next run of SMx rigs. So not only are you supporting me to get to the LAN there is also a chance to donate to team 93, oh and not to forget a chance to score a super sweet NVIDIA 8800GTS
As last year a few questions popped up, such as, “What if I for some reason I could not make it to the LAN but still raised the cash?” So to answer that…. If for some unknown reason I can’t make it to the LAN the card and cash “minus the cost of a new card” will be shipped to Brian before the event, and the raffle will still take place. The only real difference is that more cash will go to the SMx project.
The reason I state the above is I am about to have a new born son due any [strike]day now[/strike] minute now, and you never know how things will pan out before the LAN. God willing all will be well, but it is always good to think ahead
Also you do not have to be an attendee of SM LAN 2007 to enter this raffle. Anyone who is a member of Short-Media can enter this raffle. If you are not present at the LAN the card will be shipped to you at no extra cost.
So if you want a chance to get an 8800GTS for $10 you can either send a payment over Paypal, or via mail by check or money order. I will add your name to the list below with the amount of tickets purchased so everyone can see where we are at in the donation amount, and so you can see I have confirmed your donation.
