SoundBlaster Live 5.1 Problem

I have a computer here with an SB Live 5.1 running win2k.

It's been working fine for ages, until yesterday when it decided to stop making sound.

I checked the connections, re-installed drivers, re-seated the card in the slot but with no avail.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

    Humm, that doesn't sound go (ok, it doesn't sound like anything :D zing.) Jokes aside, have you tried different speakers, or headphones? If possible you should also try the card in a different PC. You could also try reinstalling the drivers.

    Tried the card with the speakers and I tried it with headphones.

    Ive reinstalled the drivers, and it still wont work.

    Ill try the card in another boxen in the morning.

    It sounds pretty depressing for it to suddenly quite like that. I am thinking it is heading for that big computer in the sky.
