Torque: The DVI out is dependant on manufacturer, e.g. Saphire may have them, but Crucial may not, etc etc, so you need to find out about the exact card first.
Anyway, here is a GF4 with DVI (DVI connector is the far right).

laughs at KK for forgetting to attach the picture

When I first viewed the page there was no attachment and no "KK has attached this image" message, just :
"Yes, quite a few Ti4200's have a DVI connection.
BTW, here is what one looks like."
and that was it, I thought you had forgot to post it, maybe the server was only half way through your post when I loaded or something, werid, anyway.........
So, in all realism, when you are using 1600x1200 on a 15" display, when you would need a crisp signal, you cant? Thats really really quite stupid. TBH I had never heard of this issue, thanks for bringing it up.
DVI seems like it has been around for a number of years, but it has yet to really cetch on. Video card makers seem to be adopting it (though not in their mainstream cards,) but most monitors made still have the old VGA connection. I thought that by now nearly all LCD monitors would be using DVI.
So, both of the pictures on the first page, according to that website are dual link dvi-i 's.... which can support higher resolutions.. which is good because most monitors i see are dual... but...
i guess my question is... can regular dvi-d monitors plug into a dvd-i port?
like if i have a dual dvi-i port (24 pins +4 for analog) and the monitor just has dual dvi-d (no analog) ... will it work?

BTW, here is what one looks like.
Only snag with DVI is it only supports up to 1280x1024.

all dvi does... or is that card specific?
Ive seen some solutions use multiple DVI cables but this is far from ideal.

The limitation of 1280x1024 spplies to single link cables.
Dual link cables are still one cable, just more pins.
Makes you wonder though, DVI could be a fairly short lived interface.

Theres also 4 pins for analog on most DVI connectors nowerdays...

That site should make it clear for you.
