Stepped out to run a few missions earler on, only to return to find my notebook in some weird crashed out state with a messed up blue screen on it.

It appears that my IBM Travel Star has failed on me.

Tested the disk in 2 other notebooks, and it doesnt even spin up.

So now im gonna be stuck with a 10gb Travel Star that ive got spare, while my 60gb disk is sent back to IBM.

Im well cheesed off about this.

Whats the deal with warranties on IBM disks now that Hitachi have taken the storage leg of IBM?

They would still have to be whatever they warranty stated it was when the drive was first purchased. Though on the bright side you may get a Hitachi drive when they replace it.
