what are these

I got a cheiftec case from newegg, and i was wondering what those clips (wutever theyre called) they attach to the bottom of the case are for. Heres a link to pics of the case, its the last one (it wouldnt let me just put a directy link to the pic)

    They dont attach to the bottom of the case, they are quick release machinisms for CD-Rom drives and other 5 1/4' bay units. You use those instead of screws to hold them in, then you just press the blue thing on the end and slide the drive out.

    Theyre really handy, makes swapping over drives a synch.

    You gotta give em credit for them cases.

    The fan mounts, drive rails, side door thinger etc.

    I never really liked those too much. Makes it a bit of work trying to align the drive to the front of the case.

    Once they're in and aligned (which you have to do anyway with the screws and a normal setup), they're set. If you need to remove the drive for some reason, just push the tabs and viola!

    Great idea for the case.

    Back in 1999 when I first built my computer, the pre-assembled kit came with an extra set of them. I thought they were chip pullers.... stupid me.

    Never had trouble with the alignment myself. Just guess it and the drives are flush with the front of the case.

    Theyre server cases, designed to be haot swappable whcih is why its like this and i love it!
