I'm building again next week so here is what I have so far

Abit NF7-S
Barton 2500+
2xWD SE 120GB HDDs (existing kit retained)
Memory 2x512 Corsair XMS or TwinMOS (help needed)
Antec Sonata case with 380w truepower
9800non-pro or 9700pro (help needed)

Do you think the CAS2 timing on corsair memory is worth the extra do$h compared to say CAS2.5 on TwinMOS? Will I be able to notice the difference in performance other than benchmarks and will have any bearing on overclockability?

If I go with the CAS2 XMS do I really need the Twinx Low Latency matched pairs or can I just get 2 regular XMS sticks and save myself some money?

Now I don't know which one to go for between the 9800non-pro and the 9700pro which are the same price. I read some good things about overclocking the 9800non-pro to pro speeds with the addition of some ram heatsinks. I know the 9800np has the newer more refined core so it would seem to be the best option right now but I could be wrong.

Any thoughts on the subject appreciated.

TIA

I would say go with the cheaper RAM unless its a miniscule price difference or you are mad for another 10 points on 3DM. Also check to see if that Twinmos has Winbond chips or not.
