Infrared photography of an Asus A7N8X motherboard and Radeon vid card reveals hotspots. OK guys, launch your comments. I suppose this is a good thread starter for:

What really needs additional cooling for an overclocker?

Neat, I've seen boards with capacitors and other chips on them modded with mini heatsinks... guess these guys aren't the first to realize a lot of the components in a PC contribute to heat generation...

    Nice find :)

    Nice find

Credit where credit is due - [H]. But... perhaps the find was not completely original with them.

I think every motherboard company should invest in one of these cameras and/or temp probe every component.

If they would spot check every version of mobo with this technology they could reduce thier RMA and cuctomer grips by 75% or in that vicenity.
Just think of a mobo, vid card or anyother technology that heat causes problem.
If they could identify where the problems lie, correct the problems by air circulation or heat sinks etc to eleminate these problems. Happy customers, reduced RMA's, = more bottom line profits.
