second HD

ok tomoorwo im goign to pick up another 120 gb hd. but i Need to know if there is anythign special i Have to do when just adding it as a slave. I have one already and dont want to mess with it at all. Is there anything I will have to do specail when i first put the other HArd drive in?

    Not really, you should be able to just pop it in and have 120gb of new space to store your stuff on.

    You also have to set up the partition (use all of the drive of course) and format it as well before you can use it.

    Nothing special. Just be ready to play the jumper musical chairs. You might find that it won't detect in slave configuration, that you must use cable select. It may also throw off the motherboard's detection of your primary drive, which will become the master. Just be prepared to experiment with jumper settings if your motherboard doesn't detect your new (or existing) hard drive. I've had very interesting jumper settings with both WD and Maxtor drives.
