The problem with the Klipsch is that i listend to it in the store. After you make it pretty loud, when the bass is deep and loud, it will distort like a MOFO... The Energy sub, is still hitting hard and deep with no distortion. That is one of the reasons why. Also the speakers are not really room filling. The SB-2's horn twerters, music tunes that you never knew existsed that are dancing around the room. What do you think fellas?
I'd get the M-audio Revolution over the Audigy. Low-end professional is better than high-end consumer, especially if you're looking for the best in sound quality.
OK. Hope someone sees this post-original thread is old.
HELP me out here. I have the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 and the Audigy 2 card. I listen to music (PC) and watch DVD movies (also on the PC which is sent to an Epson projector (VGA) and screen. Althouth the Audigy card has a Digital Out, the Klipsch Promedia Ultra does not have a Digital In. Do I need the Klipsch DD-5.1 for Dolby Digital!
No, the audigy, as well as most sound cards for that matter, have digital outs. Plug everything through/into your PC, use the digital out on the sound card to the speakers. Your PC will do any digital conversion needed.

So - I connect the Audigy Digital OUT to Digital IN on the DD-5.1 and the speakers to the DD-5.1. (And also switch the Audigy to use an external decoder,) Is this right? I am assuming that the DD-5,1 is a preamp and decoder. :help:
