Want Gmail?

Ok, i guess this fits in utilities. anyway, there are a number of staffers that have gmail invitations now, so we are going to open this up to the rest of the forums. if anyone wants gmail, just toss your name in here and one of the staffers here at icf will invite you. once you set up your account, you will get 3 invitations or so (usually within the first 24 hours, but sometimes as long as a couple of days). the catch is, you have to promise to give at least one of your invites back to another icf member so that everyone on the forums that wants gmail, can have it, and then you can invite your friends.

so, with that being said, are there any folks on teh forums that want gmail?

    ok thanks drowd, i appreciate you guys doing this for us. today (22nd) is my birthday, a gmail account would make a great bday gift. 8)

    aight, gmail apparently loves me as they keep giving me invites just as soon as i get rid of the ones i had. i got 6 more invites over the weekend, and finally got rid of them last night, and i wake up this morning and i got 6 more. so, dellin, either post or pm me your first and last name and a valid email address (hotmail and yahoo are quirky with these, cuz they are scared of the G) and i will get your invite to you right away. and anyone else that wants one, now is the time . . .

    Since I haven't had much time to look through the GMail setup, where do the invited show up? Do you have to do something before they're there?

    nah, just from the main screen, underneath the "search mail" and "search the web", a red link should show up that says "invite some friends" its pretty noticeable, especially because its bright red. you'll know when you get em . . .

    yep, its fairly obvious, but i can understand if you dont know what you are looking for that you might be afraid you might miss it. i was the same way.

    from what i have read around. they hand out invites after a week of having an account. thats not written in stone, but i read it in a few different places.
