Try the win2k drivers, if there are no xp drivers on ati's site.

whats slow is prolly the 8megs on onboard memory..no offense...but i think that it being slow has nothing to do with winxp drivers....just not enough vram

i don;t think it's the vram, i have had computer with intergrated 2mb video ram, that i can drag windows and whatnot without trails, and felt faster than this.

The windows drivers are a good part of what's making it slow, guys. The Rage 128 drivers that Microsoft provides with XP do not support OpenGL or D3D hardware acceleration. Trust me on this one... I had a P3-600 Laptop with an 8MB Rage Mobility. In '98, it ran most everything decently. In XP, it couldn't play Tron @ 320x240 @ the lowest detail settings at more than 10-15fps.

Hmm. Curious. Either way, you could try increasing your AGP aperture size in the BIOS a bit. See if that helps.

    Just a thought.
