the one you've got is way too big. you can hardly justify the size difference between that and the yeong-yang which can hold plenty.
sweet for a server, but i hope you never want to take that to a lan party
of course, the smaller cube might be hard for that too.

It's only big when you go to lift it off the floor (I've pulled a muscle in my back TWICE doing that...).
It's actually almost full of drives- it's got space for 2 more optical drives, and that's it, unless I take the HDs out of the optical drive bays and put the HD cage back in...
Besides, it's the only thing I've found that can keep my dual 2500s acceptably cool. The SX1240 on the right in that pic couldn't handle the 2500s, partially because the SLK-800s I bought for them wouldn't fit due to the SATA adapters on the HDDs.
I spent $197 for my Lian Li PC-65 case(no PSU either) that is basically the half sized version of that cube... so $315 doesn't seem to bad to me. But it appears that you can put in 2 Motheboards? What is the other half for? Purely Drives?

Dead on. The Cube is seperated internally into 2 identically sized compartments (well, at least on the YY-0221).
The left hand side holds your motherboard & expansion cards.
The right hand side holds a total of 16 drives (10 3.5" drive bays and 6 5.25" bays). The PSU is located on the bottom of the drive bay side of the case. There is a passthrough hole cut in the compartment seperator to allow drive cables & power cables to pass through to the drive side.
Each side is independently cooled by it's own intake and exhaust fans.
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE
The YY-0221 weighs in at 35 lbs empty, so it's not the lightest of cases, but provides a very comprehensive, safe home for your system.
