edited June 2005 in Science & Tech
While this may seem trivial, it is really urgent I get the answer.

I really need to know the easiest way to save an image of the screen in wixp, I used to do it all of the time, but I have forgotton.

Cheers

Hold down ALT when you press the print-screen so only the image used will be captured and not the whole desktop.

    BEAUTIFUL THANKYOU ALL!

I use a little utility called GrabClipSave, you can do any number of screen prints and save them to a specific directory for editing later. Just do a search for it or GCS, as it's also known, if interested. Freeware.

    "GrabClipSave"

How does it compare to HyperSnap? For instance, can you select active window versus all windows, or versus the desktop surrounding the active window?

I haven't used it, or tried to, with anything more than a simple single ss, sorry no feedback from here. HyperSnap was shareware last I tried it, which is why I don't use it now - besides the fact that I would never use most of the features. GCS is simple and straightforward and freeware. The only adjustments in GCS that I use are the output size and file type, plus set up a naming & numbering scheme for the output pics.

Cool! I didn't know that either. It works with MS Word as well, pictures and all.

Does anyone know what the scroll lock button is used for? I feel embarressed for asking, but I never knew, and its next to the printscreen button that I use quite often..

Scroll Lock doesn't do anything anymore. Print Screen didn't either until XP gave it functionlity again....
