And I bought a new one: Sony Vaio T140.

I haven't fully configured it yet because I'm waiting for the recovery discs to arrive in the mail so I can do a clean install of XP. I shuddered when I first booted it up and these AOL, Norton and Sony propaganda were spread all over the desktop.

I also ripped off most of the fugly stickers. :fu:

Yeah, it was defo a good upgrade. This makes my Powerbook felt big and clunky :D It also gets twice the battery life (5-6 hours).

The cooler is so-so. It does a better job than fanless coolers (such as this one el cheapo CompUSA cooler that I have) and it definately looks better than others out there. Be warned that the fans are quite loud when hooked to a USB port.

I had the antec cooler. Thought it was a piece of crap. Still do. It fell apart, and the fan "grill" on the laptop side was designed for looks, not performance. This thing is much better: http://www.svc.com/lpc-301-86.html or, if you need a USB hub in it as well, this is the same thing (albeit with a hub): http://www.svc.com/cf204-neb-29.html And the fanless ones are just plain stupid. The only reason they work at all (IF they work at all) is because they raise the notebook off the table, allowing for more air to get under it. You could do the same thing with a book under the back of the notebook.

On contrare amigo! I dispise the whole idea! Computers + portable = nerds for life, or rather nerds without a life.
