That's not the NF7-S2 dude. The S2 is a piece of crap. It's an NF7-S v2. There's a HUGE difference between the two. Duh. And the only board that equals the NF7-S v2 is the DFI LanParty NF2 board.

srry that was a typo there, but thats is still untrue, there are still boards out there that will perfrom with an NF7-v2 besides the DFI LanParty. its a good board yes but its not the ablsolute best board ever for socket A. i'd rather not see you flame anymore about it...

Yes, please do name them. I'd LOVE to hear about Socket A boards that can equal the overclocking prowess of the NF7-S v.2 that I apparently don't know about...

Ha, Thats the MB I'm running right now. NF7-S v2. So far, It's been easy to install and runs smooth with 2 WD SATA 10,000 rpm HD's. No glitches or hiccups. Layout on the board is decent too.

well 2 off the top or my head are the epox 8rda3+ and 8rda6+. those are just the ones from epox that equal the NF7 v2. from asus A7N8X-E deluxe

i know for a fact that the 8rda3+ equals it becuase i have that board. it does some high FSB without any mods to the board. right now my only hold back is my cpu, witch is a locked 2500+. kinda hard to get too high with an 11 multi when your on air...

    Forgot about this thread...

The A7N8X-E is generally reported to top out at 225MHz FSB. An unmodded NF7-S will do 235. A modded NF7-S will hit 250. The Epox boards are totally irrelevant as far as I'm concerned because I've heard too many bad things about Epox boards to recommend them to anyone until I buy one and play around with it myself.

im guessing for epox you're talking about the 8rda+ they had problems with leaking capacitors. but that has been gone for a long time now. the 8rda3+ and 8rda6+ are differnt boards from the 8rda+ which you are thinking of.

I don't know which Epox board(s) had issues offhand. You could very well be right. But I'm still not comfortable with recommending them to people until I buy one and use it myself. The boards may very well be excellent... but the issues people have had in the past with Epox means that until I prove to myself that they're fine, I will not recommend them to anyone else. I have the same issue with Gigabyte... some people swear by them, but a lot more hate them. I won't recommend a Gigabyte board until I've owned one and used it for a while.
