11-21-03 2nd update:

I email them back expressing my dissatisfaction regarding their previous statement. I also asked them to cancel the order and credit my CC. They answered politely and promptly as usual. Case closed!
Okay, I refunded your card.
It is pending right now at 6pm it will complete then I will get a confirmation around an hour later.
11-21-03 update:

Even though customer service was great, I cannot longer recommend xcsystems. This is their latest statement:
Hi, Abit finally replied and told me that they are shipping directly to the people who order from us international, so the motherboards are coming in then they direct it to our customers, I feel this is a big problem now, because you won't get it until next week. So because of this here is an option you can order from the other website and get it, or you can wait till sometime next week(I'm asking for a date) and receive it. If you do want to order from another place what you must do is, refuse the package when it comes and it will be returned to Abit, when abit gets it I will refund your money. Or like I said you can just wait until next week, I have my contact in Abit complaining now for my sake and yours and others who ordered. I'm really sorry for this, but they told me orginally they had plenty in stock, I guess they lied.

I ordered mine yesterday from xcsystems.com, I know these guys are new and have almost no rating at Reseller but the price is right and the service I've received so far has been fantastic. Within a few minutes of my email I got a response and all my questions and concerns were answered.

For me is a welcome upgrade because I can finally use the full potential of my HyperX PC3500. The v1.2 does not allow me anything over 210MHz stable or 217MHZ max. Maybe for those with a v2.0 isn't a worthy upgrade.
I didn't upgrade to a v2.0 earlier because I was thinking A64 as my next upgrade but looking at the prices and results so far I decided to wait until next year.

If you rather not take the chance you can wait for my board to arrive on Tuesday and I'll let you know how it went.
Take a look at the exchange:

Hi,
I'd like to know if you actually have the Abit AN7 motherboard in stock.
I don't see any other retailer selling this board except you.
I'm a bit concern because you are a very new e-shop and you have only a few reviews at ResellerRatings .com
Thanks in advance.

Yes, we do have them, how it works is we call our contact at Abit and they ship one out to you. We have plenty available.
Thank you for contacting us if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for your prompt response.
How much time are we talking about from the time I place the order to actual
shipping and where will the board be coming from?

Right when we get the order we will tell Abit right away, and they will ship it on the same business day or the next business day depending on what time the order is placed. In response to your question about where the motherboard is coming from, I do not know exactly what state, because this motherboard is a special order, but I can let you know as soon as possible on monday. If you do ground shipping the shipping time would be anywhere from 2-5 business days, depending on your location.

Yes please, I'd appreciate you letting me know asap.
I'm gonna trust your word since you've taken the time to respond so promptly
and order the board right now.
Please. look for my order and thanks for your help.
What's your name btw?

Thank you, my name is Cory.

Hi Cory,
I just finished placing the order.
FYI: none of the image buttons are showing

Yes, we got the order and we know about the images, they have been working then not working, we are trying to fix it.
Thanks for ordering from us, the motherboard should ship out monday.

Good deal!
I hope everything goes smooth so I can recommend your company at online forums.

Hi, I called just now and it's going to most likely ship from California near your location. The shipping estimator says it will arrive in 0 days, so it should get to you quickly. A tracking number will be provided to you when it ships out.

Dude, now you're freaking me out!
This is just to good to be true... j/k ;)
Thanks alot, I can't wait! this is gonna be a killer board.
uGuru plus the extra voltages it should OC like a dream!

Thanks for the tip, EQuito!

Now to see if I can have a bake sale or maybe offer protective services to all the local kids lemonade stands. I think I can get a pretty good percentage from them. Muahahaha

Sweetness. I have been waiting for this board to come out. Mom is going to order me a mobo for Christmas and I have been waiting for this to come out.

If I remember correctly its the NF7-S with better sound and uGuru?

As far as i know and according to the specs, it's the same board as NF7 but with Ü-Guru. It was supposed to have SATA built into the chipset but that wasn't happening after all. Better ddr voltages though. Lasse snapped a a few goodies of it and it clearly have a lot larger power regulators which CAN mean a lot better overclocking. But we can't use that if the chips are locked anyway. IMO, no need for upgrade from NF7, but a VERY GOOD upgrade from ANY Via chipsets. It's early to tell but it's my 2 pesetas. I will probably buy it anyway because i'm just plain stupid.

I will be upgrading from a KX7 KT333. Well worth it. Right now my chip is way under its potential.

I'm not sure, I think S/PDIF is digital on the SoundStorm but definitely not RCA

EQuito, because my speakers (Altec Lansing ADA-890Rs) have an RCA S/PDIF input, and minijacks for the front and rear channels. I have two computers I'd like to hook up to them If one system uses the minijacks, and the other uses the S/PDIF, (which is how it was set up before I bought the NF7-S), I can do this without having to buy/build an audio switch.

hehe, nice try... :D yes BH5's but you won't find them on HyperX anymore.

btw: I forgot to mention that I didn't upgrade to v2.0 cause I was thinking A64 as my next upgrade but looking at the prices and results I decided to wait until next year.

That makes sense I guess, I'm not too bright when it comes to sound standards and/or terminology.
Can you show me a pic of an RCA S/PDIF connector? TIA

It's a regular RCA jack (same thing you plug VCRs, Camcorders, etc. into on your TV...) but it's set up to output the dolby digital 5.1 output from the nForce2 soundstorm APU... which, conveniently, my speakers can decode.

No, as I said before, not on the AN7 or NF7-S for that matter but maybe you can buy an extention bracket like this and interconnect to RCA somehow...

Abit shipped the board Monday so it should've arrived yesterday but it didn't.
Also, Abit did not send a tracking # but xcsystems kept me posted of the progress and it should be here today.
Their service continues to be excellent IMO.

I must confess that I'm a bit worry after seeing eXcaliber pulling the page off the site and NewEgg going "in stock/out stock" throughout the day...

Please keep us posted - looks like xcsystems might be a nice place to add to my "check w/ before buying anything" list.

As far as Newegg, it's possible they are just concerned with maintaining their reputation as a fast-shipper. They probably would rather make people wait a little to order than risk losing "customer goodwill" by taking your money, then making you wait for shipment.
