mudd's clean out sale
Well, it's time again to sell off heatsinks I am no longer using. The damn things are just piling up and need to go, so this is what I got to get rid of:
1. Thermaltake Big Typhoon, original, not VX model
It's a very good hsf but I hate the way it attaches to the mobo for both socket 754/939 and LGA775. I never tried mounting it on socket 478 or socket A, but according to the instructions it can be used on those platforms too. All in all, a pretty good heatsink if you don't mind the hassle of mounting it. Here's a few pics:
Price is $30 shipped USPS parcel post.
2. Scythe Ninja, original model ///SOLD///
Original model Scythe Ninja, just used on socket 478 for about 6 months. It's back in it's original box and with all mounting hardware. No fan included with it but if you want I can add a Panaflo M1A for $7 more. Here's a few pics for you:
Price is $25 shipped USPS parcel post.
3. Zalman 7000-CU
I've had this for a while and haven't used it for at least 8-10 months. There is a little tarnish on the base but that should clean off easily with very fine sandpaper. I used this with my desktop Dothan rig until I got a good deal on a Zalman 7700-CU(Thanks Leo). This heatsink is all copper, not the copper/aluminum hybrid. Here's a pic:
Price is $20 shipped USPS parcel post.
4. Swiftech MCX462+
Good socket 462 cooling solution. Also, Swiftech makes adapter brackets for mounting this to socket 423, 478 or Xeon socket 603 and the brackets cost $2.99 from Swiftech. This is a good choice for cooling a Xeon processor as the choice is limited on what will fit those boards I've heard. All hardware for mounting to socket 462 is included, but I only have 2 of the fan mount pushpins left in working order, so you will need these pins if you want to use the stock fan mounting method or you could use these rubber mounts to mount the fan. It is usable like it is presently though. A picture of it here:
Price is $20 shipped USPS parcel post.
5. Alpha PAL8042 heatsink and fan only
The good old Alpha PAL8042 is another good socket 462 cooling solution. This is just the heatsink and fan, no mounting hardware. It can use the same mounting kit as the MC/MCX462 which Swiftech still sells. It has a notch cut out in it for capacitor clearance on an old mobo, but doesn't affect performance at all. A pic for you:
Price is $10 shipped USPS parcel post.
Payment is to be by non credit card Paypal or USPS money order.
Thank you for looking.

Anyways, the Ninja is gone, sold on another forum.
I only have the Alpha left for sale for now.
This old Alpha is still for sale. I really can't drop the price any more because then I would end up losing money to ship it most probably. It's a great heatsink for an old socket A system; all you need to add is the mobo standoffs.
