good place for laptops

edited June 2007 in Hardware
Im doing an early laptop search and I was steering towards online ones like Asus and Sager but I know that PCtorque has the zero dead pixel for like $250. Im really nervous about getting a notebook and having a deadpixel and not having the option to fix it for through the seller or manufac. So is there a site that gives good dead pixel policies? powernotebooks.com

Im going to be doing a little gaming, not extreme though. Im looking at the Asus ones right now. what is your peoples opinion on Asus laptops? I hear they are built strong.

PS what happened to Shortmedia?

Asus laptops are good, and the company is not going anywhere. Just double-check their warranties and realize that dead pixels aren't super common any more. Sager notebooks are also good.
