Which has the best price? Both should be a fine choice for your needs though. Also, you could order both and then test them to see which is better, then sell the lower performing of the 2.:eek2:

    Ok GenomeWizard ;),
Just take a look at the reviews from newegg and see what people have gotten the fsb to. I'd suppose either set of ram would do just fine for an amd system so just go with the cheapest.

Really though... what is the price? I've had good luck with Kingston, but either the Kingston or the Corsair will give you good results.

    Don't get Geil! :ninja:

THe corsair is like 10 bux more than the Kingston but I didnt know it one had a better rep than the other

I know they are both good and as for the geil I have it and its sold and this is replacement ram. It ran just fine but no good for Ocing

I compared Kingston 3500 and Corsair 3500 very much in depth when I decided to get a gig of memory. Inadvertently, many of the comparisons also involved Corsair's 3200 and Kingston's 3200.

Corsair was faster stock, and clocked higher on almost all the tests I found.

Chances are both of them are winbond BH5 modules, chances are they will do 230, chances are they will perform the same. You make the choice.

Thrax, he's comparing KHX 3500 vs XMS 3200

You're kidding? Wow, that Corsair must be really kickass stuff to actually be better than Kingston... I've got 2 256 MB PC2100 Kingston "Value RAM" (CL2.5) chips that run at PC2700 speed at CL2 timings 6-2-2-2...

Ya my pc3700 KHX is utter crap. Won't do 251 fsb @ 2.8vdimm and 8-4-4-3.

But Genome I doubt you will be reaching the top speed of either of these ram modules without any mods so just buy the cheapest one.

What mobo do you use? You should be able to (if you wanted to) just see how far the Processor will go independent of the RAM if you've got an NF2 board - you can run the FSB async.

Don't expect to much out of dual 512mb though. Not to many peeps can get it stable above 230 at good timings without supermodding the board.

    I have two sticks of Corsair 3200 myself that do 235MHz @ 2/2/2, 2.9v.

Corsair makes great stuff but so does Kingston.

Personally, I'm more pleased with my Kingston PC3200 because I had 4 (FOUR) bad sticks of Corsair PC3200 before I finally gave up on shipping it back for replacements so NewEgg let me ship it back for a refund and get the Kingston. No problems w/ my Kingston. :)

Stuff happens, though. I think I just got RAM from a bad batch on the Corsair. Also, I doubt most people test their RAM to verify it works at its rated speed so there are probably a lot of bad sticks floating around (of all memory brands) that people don't even know of.

Since the Kingston is cheaper, I'd get the Kingston no question.

LED lights, yay. Those will match nicely with your TypeR Cube:p But I'm told the coolers are more efficient. It'd be nice to get review of those on this site.

well i think its gonna haveta wait! I am goingto get teh Kingston 3500 since its actually cheaper and acouple reviews I read made me lean towards it. Not to mention the fact taht there were alot of mixed views in here and I know that they are both very good manufactures.

Sure Larry, but you won't get dual though.

Buffalo PC3200 with Winbond CH5 $85 each shipped if you buy 2. (thats $170) Not bad for sticks that does the same as BH5 but at 5,3,2,2 instead of 5,2,2,2.

I run 1 stick of Corsair 3500 (512mb), and two sticks of Corsair 3200 (256mb) in another NF7-S. That one chugs along at 225 at 2/2/2.
