The lads at mini-itx.com put this neat little doodad through its paces. This is one of the first motherboards based on the picoITX form-factor, and despite its diminutive size, the PX 10k is nothing short of marvellous in my opinion!

It boasts 7.1 audio output, MPEG2/4 and WMV9 hardware acceleration, DDR2 and a 10/100 ethernet connection. It's really quite astonishing how tiny this device is; even if you have no use for it in your own life, the technological prowess used to develop the device is amazing.

Take a look!

I've been itching to replace my current dual-processor web server at home with something smaller and more power efficient. This certainly fits the bill.

If it's just doing file-serving duties, the 10k is a great choice. It has SATA connectors, in addition to a CF slot. I could easily see it running a tiny linux distro very snappily.

OMG that's going in my broken Linksys router case! Totally threw me off when I saw the price was $10 though... but that's for the pre-order... DOH! How much can we expect it to cost?

errr... I am looking at it further I don't see any expansion slots... guess I should start reading the review though.

My guess it will run around $300.
