DIY Battery Revival (Li-Ion)

Almost everyone has a lithium ion (Li-Ion) battery in their notebook. It's been the bread and butter of inexpensive and rechargeable laptop batteries for eleventy billion years, but they also have the nasty habit of losing their ability to charge after X number of charges. It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
With some wire, a small bulb, a few lengths of wire and some time, you can give your Li-Ion some much-needed CPR. You might even save yourself $100 USD in new battery costs. Check it out: HERE.

It looks like this...
Yeah the disclaimer on the site says flat out "Your battery pack could explode", so I'd say safety is a small concern
Same thing happens with my cell phone battery. I wonder if it might work for that.
And note, another way I've found to run your battery further than what the os will allow is when your computer is booting hit del or whatever key is needed to go into the bios and just let it sit there. I suppose you could also hit f8 and go to the boot options menu.
