Sony has made it possible to score a PS3 for $349 if you're willing to sign up for a Sony credit card. That will give you 0% on all items purchased for 12 months and will, more importantly, include a $150 instant credit on a purchase over $299 (i.e. the PS3). You also get five free Blu-Ray movies.

Steps:

1.) Go to Sony's online store <a href="http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&XID=A:cj_datafeed&kw=ps398000&lp=11039939&productId=11039939">Here</a&gt;
2.) Click on "Add to Cart" below the new $499 price.
3.) Shopping cart screen - click on "Proceed to Checkout" on the top right.
4.) Checkout | Registration screen. Under the Flexible Payment Options click on the graphic that says "Save $150 after your first purchase"
5.) A new window will pop up. Read it. Click on the "Apply Now" button.
6.) A third window will pop up with the application. Read it. Fill it out and click the "Submit for Decisioning" button when the form is complete.
7.) If you are approved you will receive the Account #, Expiration Date and CVV2 Number on screen. Write all this information down.
8.) Go back to the Checkout window and complete the Shipping Information.
9.) Complete the Billing Information using the information from Step 7.
10.) Review the items in your cart.
11.) Confirm your order. You will be charged sales tax
12.) You should receive a $150 credit in your statement in 8-12 weeks, making the 60gb Sony PS3 $349 + tax + shipping. Our net cost is around $400.

It's valid until August 31.

    Shifty.
    Do they also sell magazine subscriptions?
    And next - Sony vitamins and protein drinks (must agree to a one-year contract).

    Maybe there's nothing wrong with the credit card deal at all. I just don't trust Sony to play straight.
