NVIDIA has been very quiet over the last 5 months in regards to the new G92 chip with unconfirmed code name 8900GTX. The card is just about done according to sources and is hitting some very high numbers.
The G92 is coming in with clock speeds in the 800MHz - 850MHz range and will sport a tweaked architecture to get blazing fast increases in performance. While numbers have yet to be released, the buzz on the street is the 8900GTX surpass ATI's R680. NVIDIA will smash it with the Ultra version shortly after.
Nvidia also plans to support DisplayPort and will equip all of its new cards with the proper connections. Expect to see all mid- to high-end Dell systems to ship with variants of these cards as they plan to ship their new DisplayPort LCDs around the same time that NVIDIA's new G92 and G98 architectures hit the market.
