few windows problems

Hi, i have got to the point were i have tried everything in my knowlege to solve this problem. ill state problems and could do with help.

1. i have a nvidia 5600 256mb graphics card. i play counter-strike wether you have heard of it or not and the frame rate does not go over 30 fps. all setttings have been changed.

2. windows xp service pack 2 keeps lagging alot. if i have a program open somethimes the cpu usage sticks at 100% (may be firefox or explorer causing this problem?)

    I've moved your thread. This simply does not rise to the threshold of what would normally go in the "Emergency Help" subforum.

    I hope you find a solution to your problem.

    You have described three elements: gaming, Windows, and CPU usage. We'll probably need some more details. I'm putting this in the Windows subforum for now. If one of the spyware gurus believes this to be a malware infestation, then we can move the thread to Spyware and Virus Removal.
