I Decapitated Task Manager

XP SP2

Somehow, I managed to decapitate Task Manager. Look at the attached image and you'll note the missing missing window title and menu bar. I made some weird mouse button combination hit when I was moving the cursor towards the open Task Manager and whoosh, the top disappeared. I've tried every manipulation I can think of with the mouse. Task Manager will resize with the mouse normally and appears to be functioning correctly. but now it is headless and only has the Processes view.

WEIRD

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Simple fix. Double click on the top margin of the Task Manager window. Pop, back came the menu and Task Manager title.

    go figure!

I've done that myself (or seen a user do it) and that IS the fix. Good find, Leo.

I've managed to do that in the past as well and it took me a little while to figure it out :)

Same here. Took me a day of maddening frustration to figure it out. It's an anomalous interface - doesn't make sense in the context of the rest of the OS.

Add me to the "I've done that before" list. Why is it that it's the simplest things that always plague geeks like us?
