2x sm21 questions ...

1 - Im kind of out of touch are we up to 21 yet ????

2 - where do i send the profits from teh 1337 proc??

also I have a 2500 barton to donate (dont ask) ... do we have enough parts to build the next box???? lets get on it !!!

    1. We are. Not sure when we'll be getting to it since it's holiday time and things are starting to get hectic.
    2. Leonardo will be taking over the SMx Fund duties. The switch will be made soon and you'll be informed where to send the proceeds.
    3. Sweet! Send the proc to me, I'm the official SMx Parts Manager. I'll send you a PM with my address.

    What TD(Mr, Kwitko ;) ) posted is right, you can send the proc to him for safekeeping, since he is now the parts manager. This will minimze delays in shipping once a new SMx rig is assigned.

    BTW, is that Barton locked by any chance? If it is, then we will have to be careful to send it out with a mobo that supports a 166 fsb. With the unlocked bartons you could always adjust the multi higher but with the new ones, AMD has made it impossible to change the multi, iether physically on the chip or by pinmod.:bawling:

    it is teh unlocked!!!!! ... its been sitting around for the last couple of weeks since mommy dearest sent me a 3000+ for christmas.

    With an unlocked barton, basically any mobo from a KT266A chipset on up can use that sucker, by pinmodding a different multi in the socket so it can run on a 266 fsb with a lot of GHz. I have my 2500 in my old 8KHA+ board running at 2288, using a 16 multiplier. It does darn good with that older mobo.

    mmonnin, 2 GHz is easy with the 2500's from what I've seen and 2200 isn't hard either with decent cooling.:D

    Ill Donate 256 ddr 3200 ram OR I can order a Abit KV7 and add that to it! Just let me know when I need to get it and ill order it for the machine

    Even with mediocre cooling, 2.3 is attainable. Slap an SLK900U on that mother and she'll fly. :)

    Anyone have a compiled parts list so far for SM21?

    That's my job. Off the top of my head I know we have a HD, several NICs, case fans of all sizes, an AXP 2500+ on the way, and a stick of Crucial 256MB PC2700.

    All parts- except cases and case fans- need to make their way to me for this and future SMx machines.

    I only said 2GHz because I didnt know what motherboard it was going into. I know it can most likely go to 2.2-2-3 with some good cooling but is someone going ot buy an SLK-900 for it and a decent fan so it can go that far? Most likely something other than the CPU will be the limiting OCing factor.

    Truly it would be an honor BUT I dont not want it to go to be just because I am donating. If the team were to vote for me to have it I would be honored to think that they think I am a suitable host.

    When i donated my first time to the smx fund i made a promise that no matter what the part I would donate something every other smx machine
