Lock ups on fifa 08

Hope someone has a plan had fifa 08 running earlier was playing fine then the screen went black i tried ctrl+alt_delete to get the tsk manager up but nothing i have checked the vent logs and the only thing i can find is this .

i wondering if windows live onecare could be causing this ?

    Have you tried updating drivers? Mainly the video drivers?

    yeah i updated the drivers it seem ok now even airbourne was crashing on the old ones i,d love to know when nvidia are going to get their act together on the 8 series drivers .

    Im using 163.75 beta now

    going back to ati on next upgrade

    Sounds like something is overheating. Check all the fans and heatsinks in your computer. Heatsinks are the little square or round devices that look like radiators. If these become clogged with lint or dust, critical chips will overheat, sometimes causing what you've just described.

    Thread moved. Sorry, FIFA 8 crashing is not an emergency.

    Pro Evo is **** in fact its coded worse that fifa and thats saying something had pro evo not really my kind of footie game tbh
