Hi! Right now I have a Sempron 3000+, and a PowerMac G4 Folding (The G4 has some ungodly long WU) Heres My Plan: In a couple weeks I'm goign to sell my Assorted unused Mac Stuff, and Buy a X2 4600+ for the Sempron, and then get another 939 motherboard cheaply and put the sempron in it., then Get some X2 Proc for the other board eventually. What would My folding performance be relatively? THey Would Both Be Socket 939, The First COmputer runs Windows XP Home SP2, the Other sempron would run Debian Etch, and be on 24/7. What kind of PPD Do you think I would Get?

(Both Would most likely have ~1 gb RAM)

If you run Windows SMP Folding client on the X2, your production will more than double, if not triple, compared to single core Sempron, Athlon, or Mac G4 (single processor G4, right?).

You should be getting around 800-1000PPD per X2.
