Have you tried uninstalling the old drivers before trying to install the new ones?

Yes I have. But before I even get a chance to put in the buffalo driver vista installs the default driver.

After Vista installs the stock Windows driver, can you then go to Device Manager to your card and "Update Driver?" Don't feel bad - wireless adapter drivers can be a real pain, especially when you have a card for which there are four or more revisions, all which are close but are not the same!

Did that to. Microsoft should compensate me for my time lost trying to fix this.
