Which Case?

I'm hoping to start building a new rig soon and I'm starting with the case. I want a case that will fit my needs for at least the next 10 years:confused2 and I want to be able to overclock. Space isn't an issue so I'm going with a full or super tower.I would like to keep the price under $200 but will go to $300 for the right reasons.I am looking at the following 4 cases ANY feedback on these or any other cases (or anything else) would be great. I do realize these cases don't come with a power supply, any PSU recomendations will be welcome.

Thanks,

Keith

No one is going to know what cases will be like in ten years. Maybe something stupid like BTX will roll out. Most likely we will still be using ATX.

I know a few people like the Antec 900. I've never read a review or had any of those cases so I wont comment on them.

Edit: And thrax beat me to it with the Antec 900...

The 900 is great if you want a case that screams OMG BLUE. Yes I guess you could replace the LED fans, but you're still left with what is in my opinion a trendy design that most of us will laugh at in a few years. The Antec P180 series is a much more classy case if you ask me and performs almost as well cooling wise, or if you are willing to spend the money and want a case that ISN'T made of plastic, why not a Lian Li?

I really like the stacker 830. Never seen one in person, but from the pics it looks great.

Oh, and of the cases you listed I like the CM Stacker 830. It's sexy as hell in black...

That Cosmos looks pretty slick. Frankly, windows are overrated.

I had a Coolermaster Stacker before I moved to an Antec 900, both are great cases, but I didn't have the same Stacker you listed. The Stackers have more customizability; Coolermaster makes a four-in-three converter that lets you put four HDDs into 3 5.25" bays, which saved me extra slots; the Antec 900 is 1:1, one HDD per 5.25" bay through a converter.

Me, I'm obsessed with cooling, so my 900 has every fan on full, and it's pretty loud, and yeah, is definitely blue. But it's more compact than the CM Stacker, and that's why I liked it, and it does have better airflow than the Stacker did. Downside, of course, is that the case is a little more cramped. It did let me do more with hiding wiring, though, as I had more slack to play with.

There's my two cents experience with both of them. That said, definitely am feeling the Cosmos for no particular reason. Just looks good. Oh, and I'm not a fan of having to open a door to get to my CD drive trays. But that's just my opinion. (Yes, I realize the Cosmos also suffers the same problem. I can't explain my attraction. :/)

I like the Kandalf, you should look for cases on NewEgg see if theres any there you like. The Stacker 830 is the most customizable, but each case has its advantages and disadvantages depending on what your doing.

or you could just be caseless and hope that gravity doesn't apply to the area of your work desk...then it would get a nice natural breeze...(leave a window open)...:D

The Antec 900 is close to perfection. It just needs to be a little taller and longer. It suits my needs, but I have a couple other cases that are much easier to work in. If I were running several drives, I probably wouldn't be too keen on the 900. But for a relatively simple setup and overclocking, it's a real champion.

I don't own any really nice cases, but the Cooler Master 690 series is on my short list.

 Thanks to all for your feedback. I have been given an old Server case that I think I will use. This will let me spend more $$ on the MB. I will post photo's of the case in a day or two and follow up with how I intend to cool.Anymore feedback at that time would be great. Thanks again and keep on Folding.

I've got a nine hundred and can vouch for how great a case it is. Enough room to work with inside, lots of cooling with room for more (depending on how much stuff you put in), front/top USB, firewire and audio and thumbscrews.
Plenty of room for 4 hard drives and an 8800gtx and lots of cooling for an 8800gtx and Q6600.

No really, I'd be looking at a nice Lian-Li or Coolermaster aluminum case. Something with a removable motherboard tray and more thumbscrews than you'd ever need. I'm not a fan of these flashy bling boxes with blinding LEDs. I need a computer case, not a night light.

I've got it, well, I just got it, and my temps have gone down insanely. Loads of room for expansion, enough room for 6 fans internal and external, not counting anything attached to components inside. It's an awesome case for gaming, cooling and expanding.

Antec 900. Own 3 of them and love them. Dropped temps (especially when running 800 series p4 d'S) and quiet. Dont get anything else and life will be good.
