I made the TS hotkey 'f', doesn't seem to be mapped, and it's near a-w-s-d, and easy enough to switch to/from with 'v' for talking to the (shudder) commoners

I like my key set-up very much. I use ctrl <ctrl> for TS, since it wasn't mapped to anything else in TF2, and it's right in the corner for easy access between levels and such. I have the in-game voice channel mapped to the 'back' button on my mouse, so that I can easily push it in the middle of the action, without having to really think about it, or take my fingers away from anything else. Also, if I hd the two voice services mapped to buttons on the same device, I would perpetually confuse them.</ctrl>

CTRL is the crouch key in TF2, you must not use Teampspeak while you are walking much...I had it there too, but it slowed me down, LOL.
I conformed to WASD somewhere between LoWang: Shadow Warrior and Half-Life 1. I had been stuck on cursor keys since Wolfenstien, and there was some small-time game that didn't allow key remapping, so I had to do WASD. I ended up liking it after being forced to change, and my Zboard helps it make even more sense.
Yeah... I forgot that. I read the first page of posts then skipped to the end to reply. Prime-the man-Suspect gave me the heads up. I was able to get onboard and frag a bit last night.
I hope you mean excellent that I was able to get online and not, "Q, your FRAGGING skilz are excellent." because that is plain WRONG. I am a mere novice at the game.

Ha, yea, I forgot that I map my keys a bit wonky in FPS games. I didn't even remember that ctrl is the default crouch. I use Q for crouch...
Except for cardinal WASD movement, that's true...
* snicker *
