///SOLD///

This is an excellent heatsink. It's in the same class as the Zalman CNPS 9500 and Thermalright SI-120. With the stock fan, it's fairly quiet - much quieter than a Zalman 9500 cranked up high enough to keep pace. Nothing wrong with it - it's in excellent condition. I've been upgrading lately and needed something higher rated for quad core overclocking.

This sale includes all original hardware, installation manual, and 54cfm Thermaltake fan. Mounting hardware is for Socket 775/478/754/939/940 motherboards. It's a great cooler, but it's excess in my parts bin.

    Does AM2 figure into this equation? :-/

    Wow, I honestly don't know! If the motherboard CPU mounting holes spacing is the the same as 939 or 940, it should work. The instructions I have and reviews I've seen show nothing about AM2.

    Every mount I've seen for 939/940/AM2 has been the same.

    BTW, it's a thermaltake big typhoon, not thermalright like you have in the title.

    Thanks for pointing that out, DanG. I fixed the title.

    The original Big Typhoon doesn't mount to AM2 I don't think. They came out with an improved version that will mount to AM2 and they also improved the mounting hardware considerably. IIRC, the BT is able to mount to socket A (with the holes around the socket), socket 478, socket 754/939/940 and LGA775, but not AM2.

    Thank you, Mudd. You are correct. The one I'm selling is for all recent motherboards except AM2.
