I have had my morning coffee, but I'm still cynical.

Merriam-Webster, proving that cranky old men are about 3(^100) years behind the rest of us, crowned "w00t" as the 2007 word of the year. We wonder why this wasn't done when it was cool in the gamer microcosm, and hadn't been ruined by blogtards</a> (NSFW: Language).

How 'bout them apples?

On the other hand, this is a pretty rad development, and shows just how pervasively geek culture has permeated society at large. That, my faithful readers, is wincake with awesomefrosting.

(This cake is not a lie).

I frequently use 'w00t' in my online gaming. It's a belter.
