Resizing NTFS Partition

edited December 2007 in Science & Tech
I was wondering if anyone knows of a freeware tool to resize an NTFS partition on my windows XP machine. I have imaged my old drive onto a new bigger drive installed and want to expand the partition to fill the whole drive without disruption the data. I could buy a $50 program, which makes sense if I was an IT shop and needed to do this all the time, but it hardly seems worth it for just a 1-time use. Or I suppose I could try a trial application as long as it was fully functions (most are not) - if anyone knows of one.

I recommend gparted as well. I always use it when I need to dual-boot Linux on a machine that came with Windows preinstalled and it hasn't failed for me yet. Just be sure to defrag the drive first and don't try to resize the partition to less than the amount of data on it.
