What is the best Raid Configuration for a SQL Server?

    Raid 5, Raid 10 if you can afford it.

    Is raid 1 disk mirror or is raid 0 disk mirror?

    1 is the mirror

    0 is to be avoided at all costs.

    I concur. RAID 5, RAID 10 is even better.
