I'll 2nd that. OpenOffice (at least the newest versions and there's no reason not to run the newest versions) works perfectly.
Speaking of OpenOffice wait until September (tentative) the next real release is due out and it's going to be a significant upgrade. Biggest feature will be it can edit PDF's.
