NTLDR is Missing
Hi all,
I got referred to your site here by Tiny Tims site.
I recently installed a registry cleaner on my laptop and stupidly deleted what must have been important files as now when I boot up my laptop I get a balck screen with a NTLDR is missing message on it. The files I have deleted are still in my recycle bin.
The problem I have is that my cd drive is also not working! I have tried to use a USB disc with a downloaded repair from Tiny Tims site howeverr that doesn't help(I have changed the BIOS boot settings)
Is there anything else you can suggest? It seems that Network Boot might give me an option as when I connect this computers wireless-g broadband router to my laptop via LAN connections it searces for a DHCP or proxy DHCP, not sure if that would be useful???
I would appreciate any help you can give me!

I do though, have a recommendation concerning registry cleaning: Whatever you used, don't use it again. That should not have happened. Please give RegScrubXP a try. I've been using it on 8 or more computers for a couple years now. Not once has there been a necessary registry entry deleted.
Good luck with your problem.
Read this and your problem should be fixed.
Edit:
I quote my post here instead so you don't need to click the link.
Then restore the Windows XP.
Or you could buy an 3.5" to 2.5" interface converter adapter, and install the laptop HDD in a PC.
There are also external 2.5" HDD interface to USB2 interface, then you will not need to open the computer case.
