Private Messaging limit
Just checked the database size and the private messsage table is starting to get a little too big for comfort
We are going to have to reduce the maximum amount of PMs to 350.
This is just to keep our database size down and prevent the "slow crawl of death" that can occur with Vbulletin forums after a while.
Sorry we have to do it but it's better to keep things performing than not

Really tho...does anyone need more than 350?
That seems like an AWFUL lot per member, I'm sure if everyone cleaned out the junk, nobody should need more than (?)50(?).
Yeah, it is a few but im trying to be totally fair
Just wiped them - 200 less to clog up the system.
350 is a lot of pm's.
Sorry to shout, but this is something worth shouting about! When I was deleting my old PM's I left the first one I ever received here at S-M (sentimental reasons - it was General K's "Welcome" message). I got it the day I joined: June 4, 2003.
Today is the six-month anniversary!
:celebrate :woowoo: :Rocker:
Yes. I do.
More than likely me.
415 and still going
Time to clean it up though... don't want to slow down SM with my cache of PM's
Now we have a scapegoat to blame for when SM slows down J/K
Love = Pretty damn long, in every sense.
Shorty = Somewhere in between...
...prof slinks off to find a new web hangout; I'll never be allowed back here... :bawling:
Cleaning IN and SENT boxes, for ordinary users, will keep total base down by itself. Printing things needed and then trashing the remote copy will help also.
