Need some advice

What's up guys

I'm considering motherboards right now for my new rig. The CPU I'm getting is the Q6600 and I'm planning to over clock it but not to the extreme, 3.2ghz would be fine. Got any suggestions? I also want pci-e 2.0 support on the mobo or should i forget about that for now?

I'd go with the Gigabyte. Their P35 chipset boards are so smooth. They are good overclockers as well. BTW, given decent CPU cooling, 3.2GHz is a piece of cake on with the newer (G0 stepping) Q6600s. I'm pretty sure the GA-P35-DS3L is PCI-e 2.0.

The Asus P5K-E is an excellent board for the money as well. Great quad overclocker. The vdroop damper is very functional on it and it has great power regulation (almost the same as the P5K Deluxe).

You can't go wrong with Gigabytes offerings also, as Leo mentioned.

Hmm.. After some thinking I'm going with the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L and wait until PCI-e 2.0 becomes the standard.
