FYI: I could use a Sitter during the week. My normal work hours are 7:30 am till 4:00 pm PST. The new job doesn't allow me access to Travian during the work day.
I'm thinking about making an attempt to stand up to silkesvarten. In order to do this I'm going to need about 7500 praetorians and 7500 legionnaires. What is the best way to go about doing this? Obviously Junia will need to upgrade its granary and wheat fields, and the other villages will need to start pumping out troops pretty much constantly. I thought I would ask the more experienced players about the best way to begin this mass production.

Either I get him to leave me alone, or I make him mad enough to destroy my village like what he did to saracen. Either option sounds better than what I'm doing right now.

Note that 7500 troops will exceed the capacity of a 6-cropper, so you're talking 3+ villages already. To reinforce that all at a 6-cropper, you're going to need a LOT of wheat shipments.
7500 Praetorians take a level 20 barracks 200 hours to train assuming you can queue it up to never stop (I have trouble even doing that at Lady Jaye). Assuming you manage to keep a constant stream of Prae at one village and Leg at another, you could do it in 8 days. That would be quite challenging.
You're more than welcome to use Beachhead (2200 Leg, 3300 Prae) and Wild Bill's (2400 Leg, 3500 Prae) troops when TBonZ is done with them. All my Leg and Prae from those villages are now level 20 defense.
Start building your troops when you're barracks is lvl20, if it isn't already. Send them all to a safe spot until you accumulate enough. By that time, I should be able to make up what Keebs has reinforced me with and release them back to him for you.
I'm up to -18k crop/hr and having to constantly ship wheat from all my other villages. I also built a second granary so my capacity is 160k.
Aries, while staying under the godsend radar, is constantly producing troops and hiding them in the oasis. Every few hours I move troops there so if godsend attacks, he'll only see a few hundred troops. Meanwhile, the oasis is holding 3500 spear, 2000 pals, and 1000 scouts. All under his nose. Each day that number goes up a few hundred. BUT, I'm constantly feeding Aries an extra 17K from Hydra. So... 35k from Aries and 17k from Hydra and it's taken over a week to get to this point.
The only setbacks, I've lost a few hundred while reinforcing other villages and I've sent a great deal of resources to help keep my troops fed while stationed abroad. So... Keebs is spot on. You need at least 3 villages and a constant flow of resources.

Dont forget he has been hitting you with upto 17K troops sometimes so you're going to need a considerable force and be able to sustain it for a period of time.
Thats going to be difficult if its a normal 6 cropper unless we can organinse a constant drip of wheat from multiple players
Yeah I wasn't sure if wheat would be a huge concern or not. I guess I could have just added 7500 and 7500 and seen that I wouldn't be able to produce 15000 wheat per hour

Maybe instead of thinking defense..I should just go ahead and attack him with a few hundred imperians...that should make him angry enough to get some results

Hold off on the wheat, he's upgrading the granary now. I'll let you know when to pull the trigger. I already have 3 reins incoming for him but they are only a few hundred troops. Every unit built from here on out is being diverted to tom.

I do actually, I'm really not sure if they deter attacks or not but until I can get a army standing on their own I feel pretty naked out there. I am building another 250 praetorians right now so I am well on my well to a stronger force.

Well... we might have to give that village away at some point. We cannot keep it well defended. It takes too long to reinforce. I would recommend that you begin moving as much out as possible in resources and be prepared to build a new village in the outpost or at least by TBonz and the other way down south.

Sorry, got detached from this thread tonight. I am coordinating sending the most expensive troops back to you guys.
Tom is only up to a 25k capacity in his granary. With a full granary, there was only enough crop to sustain the troops for 38 mins. So I'm keeping the cheapest defensive troops and sent the rest back at you who sent reins. You guys kicked major ass btw.
1st Village really needs small, staggered deliveries. Say, 10k at a time. I'm going to set the next upgrade on the granary so hopefully it'll be at 45k in a few hours. I'll set as many outpost deliveries as possible to resupply Tom's village throughout the night, but, if you have any extra wheat, send to -175|25.

Alpha, once this heat in the NW-S passes, we're going to take silkesvarten for all he sent. Quote thee silkesvarten,

He last attacked with 20,000 Axeman, so the force we send in have to be of the highest defensive level behind a fully built wall. If it's not at 20, start getting on that. He's going to be pissed!
Again, I'm not sure what Keebler can put into the field but I COULD send 10k spear and almost 7k in pals if I drew down every village. 17k maxed defenders would be a mighty hard bite to swallow. By next week, I should have over 20k by myself. I'm guessing we could have at least 40k in there and if he's smart, he'll never attack again with that show.
All my non-outpost troops are in the field at TF2 aside from a few replacements I've trained in the meantime. 3K Praetorian and growing at max speed at Flint, and you can tell what Lady Jaye has from the attack logs

RADA... Arun2008 has been served. I took 18,000 and killed all 22 spearmen. If he causes more problems, just ask and my cats may need to come out.
