    As a practical joke, we have merged every travian thread on the site into an old classic running gag on icrontic called "the delete me thread".

    Basically, we feel that the {IC} Gaming forum has been taken over and is being used as a replacement for an in-game messaging system on Travian. Many multiple threads being used for "hay guyz I need 1300 clay thx" and "I was attacked by bonerboy06, plz halp" and "I beat the crap out of demonvag_11!", etc.

    This is a peaceful form of protest :) We've done no harm at all to the game, or anyone's ability to play it, or anyone's ability to get things done in the game. I have no doubt that by the end of this day there will be "travian need resources" and "travian attacks" and "travian strategies" and "travian need troops" threads all over again.

    we're all together at ICHQ having a party, and we had a little fun with the travian threads, that's all. :)

    well, same can be said for TF2 threads : )

    EDIT: maybe a seperate spot for travian? it is virtually impossible to communicate in travian without a couple of our alliance members getting gangraped with messages.

    And Thrax, I'd say it's because this game has been dominating the forum overall over the last two weeks, and yes, I'll concede that a huge number of travian posts were not necessary, but this has seemingly been irritating him greatly. So hard to ignore things these days and tolerance is a bitch.

    Anyways, this is just my feeling but maybe they can cut to the chase and spill what they are really feeling.

    EDIT - I see your point there prime and it doesn't match my quick theory above. This type of game is just so different then TF2, this is the only way to really coordinate things in this game.

    Side note... we can ditch the IC forum and use the Travian Forum that come with each Alliance. That would, of course pull traffic away from IC and to another site... :scratch:

    Actually I haven't had anything today, and I'm not "pissed off" at anything, tbonz :rolleyes:

    I've fielded a lot of complaints that the IC gaming forum has been taken over with messages that are not relevant to anything other than a small group of players. Yes, we definitely need to figure out something for the travian players, but it can't be the general forums because the number of non-travian players is much higher than the number of travian players.

    Again, what harm was actually done other than having a little fun? Nobody's pissed here, we're all laughing and having a good time :)

    btw - The poll should be multiple choice. I'd go for the beer and travian.

    its funny and all. just kinda hard because as of now its pretty much impossible to do anything as a group in travian without our threads.

    I think it is funny and I do think that either a separate IC-Travian area is needed OR we move to Travian's forums. I can make the switch in 3 seconds. No biggie... :thumbsup:

    So make new threads. Those threads are historically irrelevant anyways. Nobody cares what resources someone asked for two days ago. Threads are a bad model for "request" threads - those are more "instant comm" kinda things.
