i guess i'll join the powerbase eventually, but once i've established the next 2 villages i have planned.
in 3 weeks time though, i'll be big enough to help quite a bit, judging by my current growth and production.
as long as my MyTh and Zero neighbours don't decide to take out my main village, i'm fine.
As Keebler stated earlier, do not go beyond your 4th village. They cannot take any of your villages if you only own 4. The fifth one is where you are open for a take over on one of them.
(i have room for about 10,000 of the iron wheat and clay, and 2000 for wheat...)
and good point...
that raises a question:
should i take a 15c 11 squares from my 9c, and use the 9c as a supplier, then move to the powerbase, or should i take a spot next to the 15c as a good supplier and then the 15c, ignoring the base?
Yeah, I'm currently working on turning myself into a supplier, but I'm about to lose however much his army can carry >.< I shipped off a couple thousand to Solstice, and I'm using my remaining gold to build crannies before it hits
I'm leaning towards having you move to the outpost. Be a supplier. The stronghold is not so strong right now...
ok, i don't follow that so well...
you say go to stronghold then?
i have a level 10 residence in my 2nd village now, so settlers will be moving to either the 15c or a spot next to it in a few days.
if i choose the base option: move to 15c
if i choose the all for self option: move next to 15c
i think the base option may be better.
however, its far from my villages, so it would rely a lot on other people possibly, or itself.
the plus side of the soon-to-be-my 15c is that people can visit with their troops or settlers if they need a getaway to avoid attack.
there's noone else but me within about 10+ squares in any direction :P
No, I don't use catapults unless I have a severe problem with players. You are a very well spoken player. I will add you as an ally .
Peleus = win
Thank you very much I am glad to see players in Travian still follow the traditions of Chivalry and Honour, I salute you *salutes* I shall inform my alliance of our ceasefire and once I am able to hold parties in my city, I shall hold one in your honour! Well met, and good luck

I'm beginning to like the roleplaying side of this

Lucky you. My 7x7 is packed with Myth K and a few PANTHER. Luckily we're allied with panther though.
Merchants travel faster than settlers, but yes, it will be difficult to self-supply out there. However, I see no other place to safely congregate at this point.
i'll head for there once my 15c is up and running...
thats where the settlers will be sent from.
i'll post the coordinates of the point i'm taking in the outpost, i don't want anyone else to take the spot while my settlers are still plodding along towards it, so they get sent home to return to a nearby spot...
that would set me back 2 days, which noone can afford in this game
My new strategy hinges on Lady Jaye (15-cropper), at the moment. I'm founding 3 villages around it, one to specialize in each resource with an appropriate oasis. They will funnel all resources to Lady Jaye. I'm going to minimally develop Flint (15-cropper next door) until after Lady Jaye is fielding a massive army of level-20 Imperians.

i love it when that happens, you find a big guy who's decent and not all "i am god of you *takes resources* muahahahaaaa"

sorry for the noobish question
my main 7x7 has MyTh and Zero, they were a big problem till they got nothing for over a week.
but i moved to a 9c 90 squares away (exactly)
and the 15c is close to that
I recommend everyone with villages at the "powerbase" level up their Residences, make Settlers, and make for the outpost.
that means self supplying is out of the question lol
