I might have downloaded a infected file :(

Hey, guys/gals well i was surfing the web and i did something dumb (downloaded a file and forgot to scan it). So i was wondering if you could just give my computer a check up.

    Also, my firewall sygate is showing me some critical hits from my computer. It seys outgoing TCP to a remote host called www.icpnet.pl[62.21.96.11]. So i stopped all active response.

    Hello halo2_god,

    I was going to ask if your security softwares are picking up anything in scans, but I don't see any. Where is your antivirus software or any anti-spyware software? No infection showing in this view so far. Did you do any of the scans in the steps listed here yet?

    Well, i found some really weird japanese startup file then i went to system 32 and went to the folder called IME and well everything was JAP/asian that said microsoft made under neaith it so well im going to reformat. But i needed to pull all my saved passwords from opera that i dont remember you could you help me out?

    Might reconsider word choices like "JAP" when referring to other folks. You could be considered dasai in some forums. Your log shows the addition of MS language packs, which would include Asian language use there. Often installed when using Asian-sourced software, like those that come with game uses, though many like myself have them installed by choice. But you do not indicate if you ran the pre-steps any actual infection being located. If you want to reinstall though it will bring a fresh start, regardless if there is infection aboard, but better you ask for input on that in the Icrontic Operating Systems forum.

    Yeah, but i save all my info in opera and my brother stores everything in firefox. This is how our hp laptop is set up. We have two accounts boath admin level users. So he perfers firefox, so he saved all his most of his passwords to fire fox.

    And i use opera i save ALL my passwords to operas wand thing.
    but i dont know all my passwords is there a way to get the saved passwords from firefox and opera.
