Artic Silver 5 help

OK ok, so I bought some new hardware. I've never mounted a heatsink before so I need a little help. I've been to Artic Silver's website and i kinda understand what i need to do.... but they never mentioned what i am supposed to do with both parts!

can someone explain where i put part A and part B? or whatever i'm supposed to do with them? me so confooosed.

    Uh-oh. Parts A & B? Uh... I think you bought thermal epoxy by mistake... you won't be using that on a CPU.

    ah well crap. thats ok i've some other stuff.

    bah, yep its epoxy... i thought i was buying the thermal paste but i guess i wasn't.

    Yeah, superglue won't do either mate.;D Just kidding. I tell ya, I've a few horror stories which happened to me in my youth. At least you consulted before you started sticking things. Fitting heatsinks etc etc, is a sweaty business even for the pros, you were wise to seek assistance.:)

    p.s I know you've been here for a good few weeks now, but seeing as I haven't been here since you joined, welcome to Short-Media buddy! :thumbsup:

    Why double-check? If I break something, I now have a good reason to upgrade... *geeky runs off to screw around with his only working 9700 pro* :D

    Keep the epoxy, it's a hell of a lot better than thermal tape for attaching BGA heatsinks, southbridge heatsinks, etc.
