cpu choices?
I was looking at those durons they have been talking about in forums 2.3 is awesome from a 1.4 cpu. I was wondering have they locked durons yet? I was thinking of buying one for my new folding rig if i can get enough cash. Also wheres the cheapest place, still newegg?

// Edit. Woops. I said "Durons" when I meant "Celerons." Change made in bold.

I think most (perhaps all?) recent 1800+s are DLT3C which should come very close to (or exceed) 2.3GHz
Since the multiplier is 11.5, it's perfect for a 200MHz FSB.
If the 1800+ is too pricey for you then I'd hold off for a while to save some--obviously much needed--cash.
Duron 1.4 $36
Duron 1.6 $42
AXP1800+ $52
All CPUs are OEM so you'll need an HSF. I think www.svc.com has fair pricing (and importantly shipping pricing when you're purchasing such inexpensive items) for HSFs.
I'd get the 1800+ for the folding rig. My Palamino ran at 1.6ghz on almost-stock cooling (CoolerMaster fan, which is NOT stock cooling for AMD CPUs) and did WU's pretty well. Idle temp. was about 35C and full load temp. was about 40C.
Now, just buy a better fan for it ($10 range) and I'm sure it can handle 2GHz . . . maybe even the 2.3 I'd shoot for depending on ambient temps. $2 + $10 + S&H ($5 maybe?). That's $17 for a decent HSF.
