How to talk

We need to find a good proggy for talking. Here's what I see as our options so far:

Skype - Easy to use, but not many feaures. Sometimes unreliable. Has video chat if we want it. Can it even handle a conference call with 8 people in it? We might have to test it.

TS2 - Also easy to use, but push-to-talk and VA are both annoying for long conversations. We know it can handle lots of people. Would it work to just tape down the talk-button during the session?

Those are the only two 'm familiar with, first-hand. Any others out there that we might look into?

Skype is only as unreliable as the individual connections... it's really the call host we need to make sure is most reliable.

TS will suck for this, because when more than two people talk it falls apart, and the push-to-talk is horribad

I'd like to try Skype. On a dual or quad-core host, Skype rooms can have 10 people, and the quality is excellent.

Okay. Let's see if we can get an experiment going some night soon when all of us are online.
