wtf - I can't install winrar!!!

Ok, so winrar seemed to be corrupt or something on my system and it wouldn't load properly, so I removed it (add /remove programs etc)

I now go to: http://www.win-rar.com/ and download winrar 3.71 and double click the exe to install it, and I get

'A referral was returned from the server' - what the heck does that mean?!

    Ignore me, it seems UAC had been turned back ON again, grr, I hate the way these things have a habit of turning themselves back on without my knowledge!!

    This is why I use 7Zip portable. Nothing to install, and it's easy to associate your archives with it. It's at http://www.portableapps.com.

    no, it's a play on words from A Kingdom of Loathing. Their slogan is "An adventurer is you"

    I took that and turned it into "A winner is you" - but used the word Winrar to make it extra special funny to myself.

    Bwahaha, so it was a compliment in disguise which I (Mr Paranoid lol) took as a slight dig!

    All good, oh and ive just purchased a new dat72 tape drive, so hopefully my backup woes will be over soon too lol
