Upgrade to vBulletin 3.6.9 (Update: 3.7)

Should barely notice it - mostly just a bunch of bug patches. Upgrade went flawlessly. Getting to the upgrade was a nightmare of lost passwords and deleted e-mail accounts though :crazy:

    It looks like folding sigs got caught in the crossfire - I forget which file that is, but I'll get it sorted soon.

    Yeah, I don't know why that is, actually. I haven't reverted the templates yet, so maybe that has something to do with it.

    Crap, 3.7 just came out today. Now I'm glad I didn't revert all those templates yet!

    I'm actually going to leave work right now so I can get started on this mess ;D

    Everything does seem faster for me on my dial-up. The lack of IC-byte on the forum front page brings tears to my eyes though.

    Guys.....FFS, an upgrade like this breaks every template... They have to be re-edited with the hacks, etc that make the site what it is.

    Yay its being updated atm. All of a sudden the new posts didnt work anymore. I refreshed and the filtered new post links are back.

    I've been upgrading/re-skinning the forum for 5 hours now and I'm still nowhere near the end :-/ I took the opportunity to clear the cobwebs and redo the theme since it's pretty messed up and was too customized (in the wrong way).

    Still to do just to get back to where we were:
    • Folding sigs
    • Staff / F@H badges
    • Achivements
    • Sticky break
    • Ads
    • IM icons relocated
    • Hot threads / Byte / Milestones
    • Dark theme replacement (sorry, had to nuke it and start over)
    • Global site nav

    //edit: On the bright side, I think I have most of the major color scheme / formatting issues resolved now... I think...

    Opening a pic (in funny pics thread) opens it in another window, click anywhere and it goes away even if it's a scroll bar.:banghead:
    There's no navigation at the bottom of the page.
    Oh I do hate change unless it's for the better, which is very rare.

    I happen to really like lightbox, to such an extent that I have a firefox plugin that uses it anywhere there are links to pictures.

    So much better than stupid new tabs or loading in the existing tab.

    I don't think it can be changed. It'd require a significant overhaul to how pictures work in the new version.

    I'm happy a picture doesnt open a new window in FF anymore. That was pretty annoying.
