as long as you are running the console.
you must run each in a seperate dir (eg: c:\fah1 c:\fah2 etc) with the -local flag. you must also run each console with the -config flag, and under the 'advanced' options choose a different machine id. for each.
so steps:
1 - make new folder for each instance
2 - make a copy of the client in each folder.
3 - run each client with -config and -local and set each to a different machine id (1-4) in the advanced options
4 add -advmethods -forceasm .. if cpu supports.
This is only a benifit if you are on dial up and can't watch the machines. It assures that they keep working. My dial up boxes each have two clients running (four when I go away on a business trip). My boxes with network access only run one.
If he has a P4 with HT it is needed or have a dualie of some sort.

Marc's post above is correct. If you are running an Intel P4C CPU with hyperthreading enabled, you can nearly double your production by running two clients.
